As a family man, veteran and business owner, I am worried about the future of our state and nation. Politics has become a sport where the people are always the losers. It is time to put people ahead of politics and put our nation back on the right track. It is time for new leadership.
Veterans Affairs. I read and study daily feeds form the US and Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs, and stay informed on as many matters as possible. Once in office, I will seek committee memberships and promote legislation to strengthen the governments continued support for my fellow veterans.
Federal spending has to brought under control. Period. Growth of the federal government needs to be immediately halted. Period.
Terms limits. Senators: 2 terms Representatives: 3 terms. I have signed this pledge and will not seek re-election beyond this commitment. I support the Constitution of States campaign for a Constitutional Convention to amend the US Constitution for term limits on Congress.
Number one priority is getting back on track with restoring the Chesapeake Bay. I have a comprehensive plan to bring all parties together to implement a permanent solution.
Hand in hand with restoring the bay, the waterman making a living on the bay need an ear that hears, and a voice of support for their businesses. As this campaign commences I look forward to speaking with our waterman and listening to their concerns and needs.
Just like our Waterman who provide daily sustenance, our farming families raising poultry, livestock and crops need to be heard, and their concerns represented.
The sustainability of the Chesapeake Bay, the challenges facing the Waterman community, and the necessity of our farming community have been taken for granted for too long. Immediate and decisive actions must be taken to avoid the environmental and economic losses of these local treasures.
